B-day

Psst!

I am in Munich right now, celebrating my best frriend’s birthday or what is much more likely to be called „Sleeping after celebrating my best friend’s b-day“.

Iskra got out of the bathroom and started making coffee. Oh, yeah, a woman’s work is never done. A 20-year old woman as well.

However, I want to ask you all to give Iskra a big hand and join me in celebrating the fact that she is such a great person and  in thanking her for everything she has done for me.

Some may say that a good friend is cheaper than therapy (author unknown), but I stand for that: It is the friends you can call up at 4 a.m. that matter.

The beat goes on and on and on…

You think I gave up?

You think I have hard time going to the gym?

You think I am on the completely wrong track of losing weight?

Well, fella, you’re wrong!

Maybe I missed some workouts, but sometimes university comes first in the priority pyramid.

Today I am going to get my body sweating again and am getting even harsher in December, because when I go home people should be able to see the difference, right?

No, get your asses off the PC and go do some kickass workout, just as I am going to do at 1800

Because we all have to LOOSE IT!

Time goes by so slowly… NOT!

I liked that article at Madge-tribe on blogspot so I decided to share it. Have fun reading it and greetings to Mexico!

Did she say that time goes by so slowly?
Well, now you know she lied.
Two more shows to go – November not over yet – and Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour US leg will be over and the show will reach Mexico City before moving to South America.

And since Madonna is all about perfect timing, she will be welcomed in Brazil by a fierce „Vogue“ cover shot by Steven Klein on the set of the „Get Stupid“ tour interlude.

In a matter of days, the new Luis Vuitton campaign shot by Steven Meisel will then bring Madonna back – again and again – on every single paper all over the world.

Hardly not one the best photo shoot she has done in years, the new campaign will portray Madonna as a French gal in the timeless setting of a vintage bistro, with the help of those who spotted the perfect location in the Los Angeles based Cafe Figaro.

Madonna finally divorces Guy „Jerk“ Ritchie on Friday

Pop star Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are to divorce in London on Friday, according to the High Court where so-called „quickie“ divorces are formalized.

The case was listed on Thursday under the names Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S and will be heard before a judge in the High Court’s Family Division.

Both are entitled to attend the court, although in most high-profile celebrity cases people choose not to.

The couple announced last month that they had agreed to finish their eight-year-old marriage, ending intense speculation over the relationship.

Details of the terms of the split have not been made public.

Madonna, 50, and Ritchie, 40, have a joint fortune estimated to be worth around $525 million.

The couple have a son, Rocco, who was several months old on their wedding day in December 2000, and in 2006 Madonna applied to adopt David Banda, a boy from Malawi whose mother died shortly after his birth and whose biological father has supported the adoption.

A Malawian court approved the adoption in May.

The singer also has a daughter Lourdes, born in 1996, from her relationship with fitness trainer Carlos Leon. She was married once before, to actor Sean Penn, in the 1980s.

How Madonna and Ritchie share custody of the children is unclear. Media reports have said that Madonna wants to live in the United States while Ritchie plans to remain in his native Britain.

There is also the question of how their combined fortune will be divided.

„We’re not going to comment on anything at the moment,“ said Barbara Charone, Madonna’s London-based publicist.

Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 16, 1958, into a large, devout Italian-Catholic family.

She went on to become one of the most successful singers of all time with estimated album sales of more than 200 million and is in the middle of her „Sticky & Sweet“ world tour. Ritchie is a British film director who is currently making a major Hollywood blockbuster „Sherlock Holmes“ starring Robert Downey Jr. as the Victorian-era super sleuth.

Britney Spears’ new album „Circus“ review

Alright. I thought I may share some thoughts about the new Britney Spears album, „Circus“. Here is the autopsy of each and every song.

Have we talked about the cover?

No, shall we? I prefer no. It is reall not my type. Looks too saint. And I like the bitch, not the gentle Britney. The music suits to it and vice versa tho, so it’s good!

Womanizer – there is no other comment, but a hot track with nice beats suitable for a power workout, but nothing else. I mean, the music quality is like the film quality of cheap porn. But still. Porn is hot. Britney as well.

Circus – nice track, much more interesting than the next one and than Kill The Lights. The beat is broken and there is a nice mix with a semi-acustic guitar. Really groovy dance track that has something left from Blackout

Out from Under – a ballad. Haven’t heard such for a long time from Britney. The text is nice tho. But still, I would go out for a hot dog if she performs that during her Berlin performance.

Kill The Lights – „Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt this best music broadcast…“. Well, up to now, there is nothing I could call best, but still… Depends on the criteria. I don’t like that song that much, although it has much more aggression in it even than Womanizer. „Mr. photographer, I’m ready for my close-up…Kill the lights.. make a moove, see me now“

Shattered Glass – nice beginning, little freaky, with nice noizes, nice beat, strange vocals. The song has this 80s flair. Somehow it reminds me of a song back then, there is a beat that reminds me of an old disco song. Or I am just too much into pot right now… Dunno.

If U Seek Army – Is that Toy Soldier remix?, I thought before hearing the song. La-la-la-la-la… is the beginning, sounds little bit like a joke, some Christmas bells could be heard as well. Haha-hihi-haha-ho? No! Too childish for me. But I have to admit that the beat is nice.

Unusual you - Oh, smooth nice beginning with some modulated guitars. Although it’s slower, it is still nice. Really, the description that best fits is smooth. But the text sux.

Blur – One of my favourite bands. Alright, that’s again little bit more down beat. Although it is the third slow song on the CD this one is the best slow song sofar. Nice job!

Mmm Papi – Alright, some jazzy, 20s sound is really really what I could imagine on an album called „Circus“. Some claps here – some claps there. Nice sleazy citchy song. Good one.

Mannequin - Good beat was what I primarily wanted to write. And yeah, it is. There is some guitar again like in some Pharel’s tracks which is really cool. Guitars remind me of Boys (the Briney singe, not the prople). But the vocals are freakier.

Lace and Leather – I’m not into leather right now. Nore am I into rubber. Oh, that guitar is nice. Very sexy, very groovy, nice beat, nice bass. THAT is definitely one of the next singles. the track is really catchy. Seems like britney is back to the 80s. The guitars we hear here are so cool i would go and buy myself a disco ball this very minute (yes, I do not have one).

My Baby – I couldve thought this would be a balad. It seems like britney is not only back in the 80s, but also in the shitty 90s, where she sang songs like Lucky. This one definitely reminds me of these times back then. Not my type. Who wouldve thought that Britney has a box full of ballads to throw in an album?

Rock Me In - Yep, some rock guitars, some fast beat, some distorted vocals, sounds like…, but sounds too shallow as well.

Amnesia – Oh, yeah. The name of the song is really good. The beat is also nice. But the song as such is not that interesting.

Oh, there are no other left? Alright, then shall I vote for my favourite track then?

OK,  Lace and Leather. I AM into Leather (and Lace) tho.

Yes, it is. I’ve been going through a lot of stress lately – it is also kinda way to LOOSE IT, but I prefer doing sports.

Gee, I ned a rest or better – I need a monster workout. Haven’t been working out for a couple of days:

Friday – because I was at the office till 9.00 p.m.

Saturday  - because I have been working on my essay

Sunday – because I finished my essay Monday morning at 6.00 a.m.

Monday – because I have been working on my presentation for Tuesday…

Yeah, it is so fun to be a student to work and to try to make he best out of your life.

But I haven’t given up. You see up there in the coming post, what my diet is like.

Yeah, baby! I am so Loosing It!

LOOSE IT with the Madonna workout

As promised, here you get the Madonna workout plan. It can make wonders out of your body and it is definitely worht trying. But since this is a woman-adjusted workout I won’t even give it a try, becauseI have different goals and I am definitely not as sporty as the queen of pop.

The Madonna Workout
While following this plan six times a week, use 3-pound weights, max. Anderson explains, “It’ll get you to your tiniest, tightest point without overdeveloping muscles.” Get video footage of the workout at tracyandersonmethod.com.

WEEK 1
Make a 20-minute iPod playlist and do a different cardio activity (treadmill sprints, jumping rope, running on a trampoline) for each song. Switching activities will keep any one group of muscles from bulking up. “You should be dripping sweat and taking very few breaks,” she advises.

Get crunching! Do these three moves on a mat:
1. Lie flat on back, legs straight, then bend legs and pull to chest, feeling exertion in abs (50 reps).
2. With legs at 90-degree angle, do 50 crunches.
3. Lie with legs straight, feet apart. As you slightly lift one foot, crunch straight up and down; return foot to floor and lift the other while crunching. Do 60 times, each side.

Tone Do 100 reps each, or 200 for moves that alternate sides:
1. With feet shoulder-width apart, hold arms out in a T and rotate palms from -facing floor to ceiling.
2. In same stance, bend one wrist and pull across body, arm straight, in a smacking motion across your body. Alternate arms.
3. Then, with arms straight behind you, palms to-gether, snap your wrists from side to side.
4. Hold a 3-pound weight above your head with elbow bent at a 90-degree angle. Then lift weight straight over head. Do all reps on one side, then switch arms.
5. With weight in hand, hold one arm out in a T, bend at elbow to cover eyes, then straighten, keeping arm lifted. Do all reps on one arm; switch.
6. Do grand pliés: Stand with feet -shoulder-width apart, toes pointing out. With hands on hips and back straight, slowly bend knees until thighs are parallel to floor.

WEEKS 2–6
Increase cardio 10 minutes each week, so by week six, you’re up to 60 minutes daily, plus toning exercises.

don’t tell me you have a sixpack?!

LOOSE IT update 13

Alright, yesterday I screwed our session here, but as I usually say, I shall make it up to you!

I am talking right now to a friend on skype who is doing a diet and workout plan since years and who gives me some tips about how to do what and really supports me on what I have embarked on.

What should this „since years“ tell me and you?

Yes, it is hard.

Yes, i requires strong will.

Yes, it requires time.

BUT:

I am not a sissy.

I am not a pussy.

And i know, I can do it – whatever bad looks I get at the fitness studio, whatever embarrassment and humiliation, whatever it takes me to get there, to the body I wanna have.

Just a hint about the topic:

I asked this friend if he already has a sixpack and the answer was Not already – but 2 of 6 are already there. Yeah, I can do that too.

So, today is another great workout day and I just can’t wait to finish my work and go to the gym.

Because I wanna LOOSE IT.
